Mimosa Cottage is a delightful detached bungalow in good order with spacious living accommodation for 8 people, comfortably furnished and centrally heated thus suitable all year round. It is surrounded by a secluded spacious garden with summer house and garden furniture, and there is parking for up to 4 cars.
It has 2 double-bedded rooms, one of which includes a shower room/WC, 1 twin-bedded room and 1 room with full-size bunk beds. There is a lounge, kitchen, dining room and conservatory, family bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and WC.
The Cottage is a short walk from Studland beach and National Nature Reserve, the village shop/PO, church, pub, tennis courts, riding stables and local bus route; and an ideal base for the open countryside, walking, golfing, bird watching and eating out.
Studland is a quiet unspoilt village mainly owned by the National Trust. It has five miles of spectacular sandy beaches which are great for swimming, watersports, sailing and diving. The heathland and sand dunes behind the beach are a Nature Reserve with many rare birds, including the Dartford Warbler and a colony of wild ring-necked parakeets, and other forms of wildlife, including all 7 native species of reptile. There are several footpaths, bird hides at Little Sea, a National Trust trail and a woodland nature trail.
Local sightseeing includes Swanage, Durlston Country Park, Corfe Castle, Wareham, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Dorchester [25 miles], and Weymouth [27 miles]. The chain link ferry joins Studland with Sandbanks and access to Poole [9 miles] and Bournemouth [9 miles] and their facilities, the New Forest [21 miles] and Southampton [42 miles].
