Walk through heathland and forest by Morden Bog National Nature Reserve, one of the largest valley mire habitats in England - leaflet available from Natural England, tel: 01929 557450.

Picnic tables and waymarked walk. Cyclists welcome on 2 metre or wider tracks. Horse riders by permit only. The Sika Cycle Trail, a 7 mile family trail is accessed from the car park or via the Northport Greenway.

Public Transport Directions

The Northport Greenway provides a safe and pleasant walking and cycling route into the Forest from Wareham Quay via Wareham Train Station (on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line).

To arrive at Wareham Train Station by bus:
From Bournemouth take the M1 or M2 to Poole. Change to number 40 or X53.
From Poole take the 40 or X53.
From Swanage take the 40 via Langton Matravers or X43 via Harman's Cross.
From West Lulworth take the X43.
From Weymouth take the Jurassic Coast bus number X53 or X43 via Wool.
NB: The X43 runs from 24 July to 5 September 2010.
